Jana is recognized as a dedicated patient advocate and is eager to provide primary care for acute and chronic conditions to patients aged 16 and older. She also offers weight loss management services and DOT physicals at our Centralia and Hoyleton locations.
Jana was born and raised in Centralia and has lived in Nashville, IL since 1988. She has been in healthcare for over 38 years, working in the emergency department, surgery, and cardiac cath lab. Jana has been a nurse practitioner for 8 years, caring for a very diverse population and treating a variety of conditions and health concerns. Jana believes in a holistic and compassionate approach to patient care, while understanding each patient's unique, individual needs.
Jana was employed with SSM for 38 years, beginning her career in pediatrics before transitioning to the Emergency Department. As a Registered Nurse, she accumulated 20 years of experience in the ED and 12 years in the Operating Room. These roles helped her develop the critical thinking skills essential for a midlevel hospitalist provider. Working as a hospitalist for 8 years, she provided care for a diverse population with various co-morbidities, including diabetes, heart disease, pulmonary disease, and addictions, among others.
